Jumana G. Murphy, LCSW, CASAC


Prior to establishing private practice, Jumana worked with an array of organizations. She held a role as the Clinical Outreach Manager at Freedom Institute, a nationally renowned outpatient chemical dependency center. Prior to  this, she worked as the Director of Substance Abuse Prevention Programs at Phoenix House, and facilitated relapse prevention and process groups, both with adolescents and adults.

Jumana holds a master’s degree from Hunter College School of Social Work. Since the beginning of her career in social work, she has been employed in a variety of settings offering care and treatment to numerous populations, including: affluent families and individuals, at-risk youth, families, developmentally disabled, chemically dependent, those with mental or physical disabilities, homeless individuals, and those involved in the juvenile justice and foster care system.

She found her passion working with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, addictive disorders, and/or with those who struggle with low self-esteem. Jumana is highly skilled at helping people develop coping skills, handling difficult relationship issues, and exploring anxiety, depression, and meaning behind addictive behaviors.
