Cori Testani, LMSW
Cori holds a Master’s degree in social work from Southern Connecticut State University. She has over 7 years of experience working in the helping field and with a variety of populations including: those involved in the criminal justice system, affluent families, people struggling with substance use disorders, patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting, among others.
Being incredibly warm and compassionate, Cori’s approach is one of unconditional acceptance. She is able to hold a non-judgmental space with her clients and feels that this is the environment that will foster deep connection and a potential for one’s personal transformation.
Cori specializes in helping those with substance use disorders, relationship struggles, and anxiety issues. Her passion is helping clients discover their ‘truth’ while exploring fears and anxieties that can hold them back. She utilizes several modalities including MI, CBT and DBT. Cori is also well-versed in the 12-steps and is comfortable to use the non-religious spiritual practice to guide her work, if appropriate and desired by the client.
